Iman's transition from a sole artist into the music industry as the CEO of an Independent Digital Music Network was inevitable. Before building BOOMBOXSTUDIOS, a boutique studio linked with FROME2U (a clothing and accessory company), located in Atlanta, Georgia, Iman operated a successful studio at her home and showcased her talents thought the globe by using digital upload and the World Wide Web as a medium to distribute and gain access to thousands of listeners. She expanded her clientele by helping such artists as LACE, Flight 808, Johnny Bravo, Fridae Nite Grinz and producers Jon Doe, TwentyOne, and Dj Nudge, before they became internationally known. Establishing these relationships early in her career has proven to be a major ingredient in Barnes’s recipe for success, not only for her studio, but now her digital network.
